We spent all day doing what we do the best – walking. I mapped it out using this map pedometer, and we walked 6.4 miles in a huge circle around the city. From my place in First Hill, through Capitol Hill for brunch at Barrio, down to CityDog Club on Pine for my daily doggie dose, across 6th Ave. to Belltown to visit the Suyama Space Garage Sale, then down on to 1st Ave. for an obligatory stroll through Pike Place Market then back through Downtown for a Gelato stop and a quick picture at the beautiful Seattle Public Library, then down to Pioneer Square for a walk through the new shops and restaurants and up to the International District for dinner at Boiling Point and finally all the way back home after picking up snacks at Uwajimaya. Phew. Saturdays, am I right?

Haribo makes all of my favorite candy, so naturally, Cost Plus World Market is my favorite store to loiter in.

Flowers at Pike Place Market.

Though tulips are typically all that’s available this time of year, I’m happy to see some variations in style and color to mix things up.

Frenchi butt!

Salad and chowder enjoyed over a fine view of Elliot Bay at Sound View Cafe in Pike Place Market. How many prepositions can I fit in one sentence? :)

Etta’s for brunch.

Lauren and I met for a much needed brunch at Etta’s in Pike Place Market. She was my Sorority roomie and partner-in-all-things-fun during school, so there’s always shenanigans to reminisce about when we’re together.

Brunch was early…we had caffeine…then we had mimosas…potatoes cooked in bacon fat were present…and we really needed to catch up.

As one would expect, I had an amazing time.
