Since I “became an adult,” I’ve been utterly obsessed with Disneyland. Not so much Disney movies, characters or memorabilia, but specifically the theme parks. This obsession hit me late, but hard, and if you recall, David and I last visited the Disney park in Hong Kong. Their park is unique in its own way, and while you can find classic rides like “It’s a Small World” and a mystical take on “Haunted Mansion,” it just made me long for the Disneyland. This year for my Birthday, we took a theme park focused trip down to LA and even stopped by Universal Studios! I don’t want to overtly declare how old I turned, but let’s just say it was a great way to welcome the last year of my 20s..
Take me back!
We spent the last week in Guadalajara Mexico celebrating our friends Karla and Gerardo’s wedding. It was not entirely clear to me that we were flying in the day of Hurricane Patricia until we landed in LAX for our layover. By then, it was too late to turn back, and there was no way I was going to miss their wedding because of stormy weather. What kind of Seattleite would I be if I did? After a lot of anticipation, Hurricane Patricia turned out to be uneventful in Guadalajara, and we were able to enjoy multiple sunny days immediately after the storm had passed.
One of my favorite things about the city is the coloring. How amazing would it be if we could paint our buildings any color we wanted?
Look at this gorgeous spread.
Torie hosted a beautiful Bridal Shower for Steph on Sunday, and it was the perfect afternoon of catching up, reminiscing and day dreaming of what’s to come for the Bride and Groom. Cheers to you, Steph! I can’t wait for the big day!
Thank you, Steph, for the photo assist :) And thank you, Torie, for the beautiful event!
Breathtaking views paired with a hearty wine tasting. Cave B is on my “must return to…” list.
