Admittedly, David does more than half of our cooking, but this breakfast was truly a joint effort. #lovesundays

Enjoying Rachel’s Ginger Beer (guava is my favorite), while admiring my new Seahawks themed shirt and deciding which baked good to eat first (cookies were only 3/$5!).

Tapioca wrapped pork mix at Soi. I know that’s a horrible description, but these chewy balls were awesome. The filling is a combination of pork, peanuts, crispy bits and spices!

A new favorite brunch of ours at Monsoon East. In addition to some classics like pancakes and egg dishes, their brunch also includes dim sum small plates and Vietnamese classics….

Chorizo omelet and tacos from La Chata, a local favorite. There are typically lines out the door, so I recommend visiting in between normal meal hours.

The bride and groom hosted a breakfast at the hotel the morning after the wedding. After dancing and drinking all night, and partially into the morning, this was a much-anticipated event. Thank you, Karla y Gerardo for having us!

Just outside of the historical district of the city, we discovered an amazingly authentic and delicious Italian restaurant in the more “hip” part of town (streets full of American-style bar and grill restaurants). Restaurant Italia Mia had the most delicious pasta and most hospitable staff. If you have a chance to visit the area, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Last, but not least, after finding Restaurant Italia Mia the night before, I felt inspired. Without expecting much, I started my search for Korean food in Guadalajara, and to my surprise, we found a pretty authentic little restaurant, Gami, about a mile and a half outside of the central historical district. I ordered my beloved Soon DuBu and though I wasn’t blown away, I was still impressed that I was eating Soon DuBu in Guadalajara. Mexico.
