“HK is my home.”

We visited one of Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protest sites (also known as the Umbrella Revolution) at Wan Chai on October 19th, just days after confrontation between protesters and police occurred on October 17th in Mong Kok district. The peaceful demonstration of unity and the extensive scale of this site was remarkable.

 This main road through a busy commercial district of Hong Kong has been closed due to the protest, causing traffic detours and congestion nearby.
