Considering it took me about two weeks to get over the jet lag, I am so thankful I took an extra day off of work upon our return. We really carpe’d the diem by visiting places that I haven’t been able to because of work. David has been raving about a teriyaki place near his work (therefore far from mine) that is only open for lunch on weekdays. So, it was our objective to have this be the first meal upon our return, and it was the best “welcome back to Seattle” meal I can imagine. Technically, it wasn’t our first-first meal, but having gained a couple hours from travelling back to Pacific Standard Time, any meals that first night really didn’t happen and were not accounted for. About one and a half pounds of chicken Katsu later, we decided to walk it off and head to the Seattle Aquarium for the first time together.
