Wontons in chili oil at Sichuanese Cuisine.
Asparagus, red onion and chicken.
Lunch at Umma’s Lunch Box downtown. This little breakfast and lunch spot opened under the 5th Avenue Theater just a bit ago, and is already one of my lunch go-to’s. The food is made fresh on the spot, and paid for by box size – not by weight. The idea is to build a bibimbap “lunch box” with all of the available accouterments: proteins, fried rice, noodles, vegetables, cold sides, sauces, etc. As you can see, I typically just go for whatever looks good; for me, that’s vegetables.
Fresh rolls at Jamjuree in Capitol Hill.
Shrimp with Chinese eggplant, onions and ginger.
