First night.

Upon arrival, we quickly walked from our hotel near the Waterfront/Old Chinatown up to the Pearl District for drinks and a bite. “A bite.” Okay, for some heavy eating. After circling the busy blocks a few times, we stumbled upon an intriguing indoor-outdoor bar that seemed too interesting to miss. There, we grabbed some good food and drinks and met a group of hometown friends who were also visiting the city. The night ended with karaoke, photo booths, and a missed opportunity: Voodoo Doughnuts sans line. We were too tired. I know, I know.
